AG101 - SCRUM: An Adventure in AGILE (Virtual)

This one day course covers the more popular of the AGILE methodologies: Extreme Programming, DSDM, Test Driven Development, Dynamic Systems, Development Methods, (DSDM), Crystal Development, Feature Driven Development, Lean Kanban, and SCRUM. Each student will be able to compare and choose the methodologies or parts of methodologies that would benefit your organization, will develop an understanding of all the Scrum roles, artifacts, meetings, estimating, and be armed with the proper tools to address, resolve, and take the lead on Scrum issues in their organization. This course content will be presented as a mixture of lecture, discussion, and hands-on exercises for the students to practice and apply what they learn.

 

Please note this is not a course for any AGILE Certification.

PS100 - Project Scheduling Fundamentals (Virtual)

This 12 hour course is designed as an introductory training course for those with limited experience or exposure in Planning & Scheduling.  This can also apply as a refresher for those who participate project controls on a regular basis.  It is also perfect for managers, supervisors. This course establishes an understanding of how a project plan is developed and interactive planning becomes an optimal schedule.  This course teaches the basic logic links between activities, calculations for early and late starts and finishes, and identification of the critical path and concepts of float. Interpretation of the reports gives this student the ability to use the schedule as a communication tool and collect progress against the plan.

This course is a presentation style course with live software demonstrations. This course content will be presented as a mixture of lecture, discussion, and hands-on exercises for the students to practice and apply what they learn.

PS 101 - Fundamentals of DCMA 14 Points/DECM (Virtual)

This one day Project Management Fundamentals workshop provides an introduction to any Individual who might need to perform project management activities in their job role on either a formal or informal basis, or any individual who wants to build upon their current project management knowledge to be more productively involved on a project team. PS200 - Predictive Measuring and Reporting Fundamentals

This Predictive Measures Workshop provides a broad yet detailed coverage of various project metrics available to the professional project scheduler as well as the seasoned project management professional. This workshop is designed for those who recognize that having a better understanding of project metrics can have a major impact to performance assessments and day-to-day project management decision making.  Centered around the industry recognized, A guide to Managing Programs Using Predictive Measures and the Generally Accepted Scheduling Principals (GASP), this workshop allows the student to understand the necessary fundamentals of program/project metrics and their specific applications.  This workshop explains how to assess various program metrics such as: Schedule, Cost, Risk and Opportunity, and Technical Performance Measures including an in- depth look at how to interpret various metrics to detect early warnings of potential program/project issues. This course content will be presented as a mixture of lecture, discussion, and hands-on exercises for the students to practice and apply what they learn.

AG200 - SCRUM MASTER CERTIFICATION (CSM)

Certified Scrum Master (SMC) professionals are facilitators who ensure that the Scrum Team is provided with an environment conducive to completing the project successfully. The Scrum Master guides, facilitates, and teaches Scrum practices to everyone involved in the project; clears impediments for the team; and, ensure that Scrum processes are being followed.
